Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving

In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden sect.

The mission centers on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana alongside several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Latest Free Story Update

This patch also brings the game's third no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery."
