Ex- Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Allegations Against 38 Individuals in His Care

Legal authorities have announced that a ex- doctor now faces charges for carrying out sexual assaults against 38 victims who were under his care.

The Grave Charges

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous sexual offences – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.

One senior prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

The Police Inquiry

These allegations follow what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five charges comprise:

• 15 counts of sexual assault.
• Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
• 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
• Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
• One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
