Loyal supporters of the actress are calling for that a man who jumped a fence and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the cast walked down a event pathway flanked by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed includes videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," stated an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Grande's Well-being

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented one more response on Instagram.

Several fans also faulted guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while others called for digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande looked startled when she was touched by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.
