Salah Extends Apology to Squad, Reveals Curtis Jones

Jones has disclosed that Salah said sorry to the group of players after the fallout from his public comments.

What Happened

Salah was left out from a vital match after criticising the club and suggesting his rapport with Arne Slot had deteriorated.

“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”

The manager has refused to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the player.

Moving Forward

Jones insisted that the team's response remained positive. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.

Jones also noted that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can express yourself,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

Team Form

Liverpool's form have been impressive in the games following the initial controversy. Jones believes the outburst were never meant to cause disruption.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a good place,” he finished. “That chapter is closed and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and on a positive run.”
